Montessori Primary Class (3-6 years old) | モンテッソーリ・プライマリクラス（３－６歳）

Primary Program = CASA Class  (3 years old to 6 years old)

プライマリー・プログラム ＝ カーサ・クラス（3歳～6歳）

Children aged three to six years possess what Dr. Montessori called the "Absorbent Mind".  The child absorbs everything directly from the surrounding environment, much like a sponge which absorbs liquid.  It is during this phase that many language and motor skills are acquired and the child reaches a point in which repetition and manipulation of materials in the environment are critical to the development of concentration, coordination, independence, and a sense of order.  The child learns the skills for everyday living, sorting, grading and classifying which all leads to the development of writing, reading, and a mathematical mind.

 

Dr. Montessori observed that children also experience "Sensitive Periods" in their development.  These are periods of special sensitivity when the child is attracted to certain stimulus in their environment allowing them to acquire certain knowledge and skills.

 

The 3 to 6 years old child is undergoing a process of self-construction.  The application of the Montessori philosophy and the specifically designed Montessori materials aids the child's ability to absorb knowledge and continue this path of self-construction.  There are five main areas in our Primary Program such as Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Geography & Cultural Studies.  Considerable emphasis is also placed on Creative Arts, Music and Science.

当スクールのプライマリー・プログラムは様々なご家庭のニーズに合わせて、平日のご登園は週に３日から５日までをお選び頂けるようになっております。その他、平日の延長保育や土曜日クラスもございますので、ぜひご検討ください。

3歳の誕生日を迎えるお子様は話し言葉ができるようになり、自立の基本となる運動能力も身に付いて来ました。自我が芽生え、人間関係に目を向けるようになり、3歳までに無我夢中で周りの環境から吸収してきた感覚経験を整理、分類し、心身共にもっと高次元な発達に向かって行く段階に移行します。

モンテッソーリ教育ではこの時期の子どもの発達特徴に合せて、縦割りでクラス編成しミニ社会を作ります。クラスのルールに従い、日々の活動で子供と子供の間、子供と大人の間で尊重し合い、協力し合い、自然にお子様の社会性を発達させます。

幼児期にしか現れない特別な脳の働き方「吸収する精神」と「敏感期」を生かし、「日常生活の練習」「感覚」「数」「言語」「文化、生物、地理、サイエンスなど」の５つの領域でモンテッソーリ活動を通じ、ステップ・バイ・ステップでお子様に秘めた潜在能力を最大限に引き出し、運動、言語、感情、知性と意志をバランス良く発達させ、将来、真の国際人に備わる健全な人格形成の土台を作り上げます。

6歳までの子供の脳の発達段階において、貴重な言語発達の敏感期を捉え、沢山の言葉を習得できる環境で英語と中国語、または日本語のインプットとアウトプットができ、苦や努力など意識せず、お子様を楽しく母国語以外の第二、第三国語の習得に導きます。お子様は日々異文化の背景を持つバイリンガル、トライリンガルの先生やお友達と接する事でお子様の国際性を豊かにして行きます。
